Glass Stock 2013, Our 11th year, WOOHOO!

INTRODUCTION AND ENTRY DIRECTIONS

The sign up is open for GS West, 2013, read on for how to enter!

Come and join us for the 11th annual Glass Stock 2013! A sharing, collaborating event which has run for 11 years on the Oregon Coast by Deb Crowley and many other fantastic artists with much success! From a small gathering of 30 of Deb's friends in 2003 to almost 80 in attendance in 2012, this event has grown in popularity with artists willing to teach and share for the opportunity to do the same. It is a chance to get "out of the box" and learn new skills, get priceless feedback and inspiration.

Glass Stock West 2012 was such a huge success that Cornerstone Glass and the GSWest team are excited to come back again for GS West in 2013!

Deb has teamed up again with her west coast staff and some new east coast artists to host this event at Cornerstone Glass for 2013, our 11th year on the west coast!  We have chosen Wednesday evening of August 28th, 2013, as opening night and August 29th-September 1st, 2013, as the dates for the event to come together and collaborate on some incredible, unique art glass. Glass Stock West will be held at Cornerstone Glass in Eugene, OR.

You may sign up (enter) anytime from January 2nd to July 30, 2013!  Email entries to GSWest@debcrowley.com , questions to deb@debcrowley.com. Tuition accepted After April 30th, 2013 (see below for more information).

Due to demand, we are opening the sign up for Glass Stock West early again this year. We are making some changes this year, starting with demonstrations. The Meet and Greet on Wed night will be when all the demonstrations happen, we will also have a bead exchange and light snacks. The next 3 days will be your 6 classes and Sunday will be the glass elimination, drawings and open torches all afternoon! You will get 4 participating torch classes this year and 2 "demo or other" classes.  Instead of letting everyone add one more torch class after sign up, which messes up my supply list, I am adding the $50 cost to the tuition and everyone gets 4 participating torch classes instead of 3.  This streamlines the process immensely since most people wanted 1-2 more!  We will then have all day Sunday for contests, drawings and open torch.

We will be accepting tuition payments as of  May 1st, 2013. To sign up, please email at above to get the newsletter with payment information. The first newsletter will go out March 1st. The early bird does catch fatter worms, the sooner you pay the better selection of classes available. We will only be accepting US DOLLAR checks or Money Orders postmarked after April 30th, address to send tuition to will be in April newsletter. The order in which we receive payments is the order in which you select classes the 1st-2nd of June!   The class descriptions and pictures will be posted by March 25th so you can see what classes we will be offering. The actual schedule will be up by May 1st and newsletters will start coming by email then. Class selection via phone will be June 1-2nd, 2013 from 10 am to 6 pm daily.

The featured artists for 2013 are John Kobuki (marble God!) and Lisa St Martin (fabulous flower bouquets and dichroic beads!).   Also our loyal staff will be teaching some new and exciting classes!

Anyone who wishes to submit a class may do so by clicking on the "Class Submissions" page on this website.  You must have attended at least one previous year to apply.  Class submissons are due BY March 15th, 2013.  The classes accepted will be posted by March 25th to peruse before class selection begins.

Thank you all for the support over the years of this event! It really does take all of us to make it great, especially the loyal and talented staff, so let me say again a HUGE thank you to them! Hope to see you all there next year, tell your friends!

Remember payments are being accepted as of May 1st, 2013.  No early payments or refunds but tuition may be transferred.

Happy Holidays everyone!
deb and the GS West 2013 team
